CABBAGE CASSEROLE 
2 slices bacon
1 bell pepper, chopped
1 sm. onion, chopped
1 med. head green cabbage
2 c. grated cheese
1 can cream of mushroom soup
Buttered bread crumbs

Fry bacon; remove from pan and pour off grease except for 1 tablespoon. Saute bell pepper and onion in grease. Rinse cabbage, but do not dry. Cut cabbage in chunks and add to onion and pepper. Saute for 3 to 10 minutes. Add crumbled bacon, cheese, and mushroom soup. Pour into casserole dish. Cover top with buttered bread crumbs. Bake at 350 degrees for 5 to 10 minutes, or until bubbly and bread crumbs are brown.
