PUMPKIN NUT BREAD 
2 c. flour
2 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. salt
1 tsp. cinnamon
1/2 tsp. ground nutmeg
1 c. pumpkin
1 c. sugar
1/2 c. milk
2 eggs
1/4 c. butter, softened
1 c. chopped nuts

Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Sift together first 6 ingredients. In separate bowl, combine pumpkin, sugar, milk and eggs. To this add dry ingredients and butter. Mix only until flour is moistened. Stir in nuts. Bake in well greased 9"x5"x3" loaf pan for 65 minutes or until toothpick comes out clean. Cool 10 minutes; remove from pan. (Lower the temperature by 25 degrees if using glass pan.)
