GERMAN POTATO SALAD ALA FRED
SCHOEMBS
 
6 med. potatoes, boiled and sliced
1 lg. yellow onion, sliced very thin
6 slices bacon
1 rounded tbsp. flour
1/4 c. salad vinegar
3/4 c. water
1/4 c. sugar
1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. pepper

Cook bacon until crisp. Remove from pan. Add onions. Saute. Add flour and the remaining ingredients until thick. Pour all over well drained hot potatoes. Serve after stirring well. Great with smoked pork.
