PIZZELLES (Italian Waffle
Cookie)
 
2 sticks butter
1/4 c. vegetable oil
1/4 c. Crisco
2 c. sugar
6 eggs
4 tbsp. vanilla
4 tsp. baking powder
4-5 c. flour

Mix shortening until smooth. Gradually add sugar and beat well. Add eggs and vanilla; beat. Add baking powder and 2 cups of flour; mix well. Gradually add remaining flour until dough is stick soft. Bake in Pizzelle iron or electric Pizzelle maker, according to manufacturers directions.
