1 round tbsp. shortening, melted

Beat:

2 eggs
Heaping 1/2 c. sugar

Then beat well with shortening.

Add:

1 c. milk
1 1/2 c. flour
3/4 c. cornmeal
1 heaping tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. salt
