PICKLED BEETS | |
Sm., young beets, cooked until tender (skins removed) 2 c. sugar 2 c. water 2 c. strong vinegar 1 tsp. cloves 1 tsp. allspice 1 tbsp. cinnamon Pack beets into clean hot jars to within 1/2 inch of top. Make a syrup from rest of ingredients. Pour boiling syrup over beets to within 1/2 inch of top of jar. Process 30 minutes in hot water bath. |
