MUM'S BISCUITS (COOKIES) 
1/2 lb. flour (about 1 1/2 c.)
Pinch salt
1/2 lb. butter
3 oz. powdered sugar
Strawberry preserve

1. Beat powdered sugar and butter until very soft.

2. Stir in flour and salt; mix well.

3. Pipe into rosettes onto baking sheet.

4. Bake at 360 degrees for 20 minutes.

5. Put a small bead of strawberry preserve in the middle of each biscuit as soon as you take them out of the oven.

6. Sprinkle with extra powdered sugar.

7. Best served with tea at 4:00.
