1 c. shortening
1 c. sugar
4 eggs
1 c. milk
6 c. flour
1 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. anise oil

Mix all ingredients in the above order. Roll dough into 1" balls and place on a cookie sheet. Flatten a little with hand. Bake at 350 degrees for 10 minutes. When cool, ice the cookies with confectioners' sugar icing and roll in chopped nuts or decorate with colored candy.
