APPLE CAKE 
5 tbsp. sugar
5 tsp. cinnamon
6 apples, sliced
3 c. flour
2 c. sugar
3 tsp. baking powder
1/4 tsp. salt
3/4 c. salad oil
4 eggs
1/4 c. orange juice
1 tbsp. vanilla

(Use wooden spoon). In a large bowl, combine 5 tablespoons sugar with cinnamon. Add apples and mix to coat. Let stand while preparing the cake. In a large bowl, sift flour with 2 cups sugar and baking powder and salt. Make a well and pour in all the other liquid ingredients until well blended. Add sliced apples to the mixture and mix until blended.

Grease and flour a 9 or 10 inch angel or sponge cake tube pan. Spoon batter in and bake in preheated oven at 350 degrees for approximately 1 hour and 15 minutes or until cake is done and dry when tested with wooden pick.
