TANGY APPLE SALAD 
2 c. applesauce
1 (6 oz.) pkg. lemon-flavored gelatin
1 (12 oz.) can ( 1 1/2 c.) lemon-lime carbonated beverage
1 tsp. finely shredded orange peel
1/4 c. orange juice
1 c. chopped apple
2 tbsp. chopped walnuts

In medium saucepan heat applesauce just until it bubbles. Stir in gelatin. Cook and stir over medium-low heat until gelatin is dissolved. Remove from heat. Cool. Stir in carbonated beverage, orange peel and orange juice. Chill until partially set. Stir in chopped apple and nuts. Chill until firm.
