DOUBLE DECKER FUDGE | |
4 1/2 c. sugar 1 (7 oz.) jar marshmallow creme 2 (6 oz.) cans evaporated milk 1/2 c. butter Dash salt 1 (6 oz.) pkg. semi sweet chocolate chips 1 (6 oz.) pkg. butterscotch chips In a three quart saucepan, mix the sugar, marshmallow cream, evaporated milk, butter, and salt together. Cook and stir constantly over medium heat until it starts to boil. Boil gently for 5 minutes. Then divide it in half. In one half add the chocolate pieces and place in a 13 x 9 x 2 inch pan that is greased. Then in the other half stir in the butterscotch pieces, stir until melted. Place this on top of the chocolate layer. You can drizzle melted chocolate on top if desired. After it has cooled, cut into desired size pieces. For a variation, substitute 1 cup creamy peanut butter (or 6 oz. of peanut butter pieces) for the butterscotch pieces and proceed. |
