FRENCH COFFEE CAKE 
2 c. sifted cake flour
1 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. baking powder
1 c. sugar
1 stick butter
2 eggs
1/2 pt. sour cream
1 tsp. vanilla

FILLING:

1 tbsp. cocoa
1 tbsp. instant coffee
2 tsp. sugar

Sift flour, soda and baking powder together. Cream sugar and butter together; beat in eggs. Add 1/4 of flour mixture and 1/3 sour cream. Continue to alternate and cream until blended well. Add vanilla. Grease and flour loaf pan. Combine filling ingredients. Pour 1/3 of the cake batter into baking dish. Spoon 1/2 from filling over batter. Add 1/3 of batter and add remaining filling. Cover with remaining batter. Marble with knife. Bake at 350 degrees for 40 to 45 minutes. Dust with powdered sugar when cool. Yield 12 servings.
