FRENCH COFFEE CAKE 
2 tsp. baking powder
1 1/2 c. flour
1 c. sugar
1 egg in c., fill with milk
1/4 c. oil
1/2 tsp. salt

TOPPING:

1/2 cube butter
1/2 c. sugar
Cinnamon and nuts

Sift dry ingredients together. Break egg in measuring cup, then fill with milk. Mix together with dry ingredients. Add oil; mix well. Pour into greased baking dish, 8 x 8 x 2 inch. Melt 1/2 cube butter; spoon over batter. Sprinkle 1/2 cup sugar, cinnamon, and nuts over batter. Bake at 350 degrees for 30 to 35 minutes.
