FRENCH APPLE CAKE 
2 tbsp. lemon juice
4 c. chopped fresh apple
3 1/2 c. flour
2 c. sugar
2 tsp. cinnamon
2 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. salt
2 beaten eggs
1 c. oil
1/2 c. chopped nuts
1/2 c. raisins
1/2 c. melted butter
1/2 c. brown sugar

Pour 2 tablespoons lemon juice over 4 cups chopped fresh apple. Mix together flour, sugar, cinnamon, soda and salt. Stir into dry ingredients beaten eggs and oil. Fold into apples, chopped nuts and raisins. Bake in greased and floured tube pan 1 hour at 325 degrees.

TOPPING: Mix 1/2 cup melted butter and 1/2 cup brown sugar. Spread on warm cake.
