This recipe was so delicious, I kept eating til I felt slightly sick. I also used sunflower seeds and smoked almonds instead of slivered. This will become a staple in our kitchen. Yum!

Have been making this for a while now. Love it!! I use the sunflower seed in addition to the slivered almonds and sesame seeds. But I use toasted sesame seeds. Now I want to make some!

This is great. I make it often. Variations include adding stir fried beef chunks and using beef Ramen noodles, stir fried pork and pork ramen noodles. Adding chicken to the above recipe. Using black sesame seeds, toasting the sesame seeds first, using sliced almonds and toasting them first and adding very finely chopped onions (red or vadalia). Adding garlic powder. Also mix up the vinegar, white goes well with the chicken, a combination of cider and balsamic with the beef. A combination of red wine and white goes well with the pork.
It is easy to make this a main course by adding the stir fried beef, chicken or pork.
I also add pepper as well.
If you want to make this a great presentation, wrap this in a spring roll wrapper and serve as a main course (chinese salad rolls)

This is an excellent salad just as listed. I've made it many times and have doubled it for pot luck get ogethers and always get raves. I sometimes add some cubed baked chicken breast or a couple cans of medium sized shrimp. I'm thinking of trying it with some cubed smoked tofu for a Meatless Monday meal, using vegetable bouillon in place of the seasoning packet from the Ramen.
