BUTTERNUT SQUASH CASSEROLE 
1 med.-sized butternut squash, cleaned, peeled and cubed
1/2 c. cold water
1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. sugar
1 tbsp. chopped onion

Cook ingredients together until the squash is soft, then mash and put into a casserole. Put topping on and broil in oven until bubbly. Serve hot. Serves 4.

TOPPING:

4 tbsp. butter
1/3 c. brown sugar
1 tbsp. rum

Cream butter and sugar and add rum.
