TANGY SWEET AND SOUR MEATBALLS 
2 lbs. ground beef
1 c. minced onion
1/2 c. applesauce
1/2 c. minced green bell pepper
1/4 c. raisins
1/4 c. crushed pineapple, well drained
2 eggs, beaten
1 c. bread crumbs
4 bacon strips, cooked and crumbled
4 tbsp. steak sauce
3 tbsp. barbecue sauce
1 tbsp. Worcestershire sauce
Salt and pepper to taste
Vegetable oil

Combine first 12 ingredients with salt and pepper to taste in a large bowl and blend well. Shape mixture into 1 inch meatballs. Pour 2 tablespoons oil into large skillet; heat over medium flame. Add meatballs and cook until browned all over, adding more oil if necessary. Drain. Serve with the Sweet and Sour Sauce found in this book. Delicious served over rice.
