ONION, MUSHROOM, SWISS AND
BOURBON HAMBURGER

1 1/2 lb. ground beef
2 tbsp. butter
7-2-1 Seasoning (7 parts salt, 2 parts black pepper and 1 part onion powder... mixed together and stored in a jar)
1 medium onion, chopped
1 can mushrooms, sliced -or- fresh, sliced white mushrooms
5-6 slices Swiss cheese
1 cup sweet bourbon glaze
5-6 burger buns, preferably brioche

Melt butter in a pan and stir in onions and mushrooms on low heat. Low heat will "sweat" the onion/mushroom mixture. Heat the mixture until onions are translucent and soft, cover and set aside.

Prepare ground beef into 5-6 patties, making sure to press your thumb into center of patty. This is will give your burger a fighting chance to stay the shape of a patty and not turn into a hockey puck. Season on the outside with 7-2-1 Seasoning and place patties on the grill. When burgers are finished grilling, remove burgers from over the flame and set them to the side of the grill.

Carefully spoon onion/mushrooms on the top of all the burgers, then place 1 slice of swiss cheese on each. Place the burgers back on the grill for about one minute preferably with the cover closed.

Remove and place on bottom bun. Drizzle top bun with sweet bourbon glaze (or right onto the hamburger itself) and top the sandwich. Enjoy!!
