GRILLED PRIME RIB
1 choice 4-bone standing rib roast or boneless prime rib
1 oz. Lawhorn's original blend signature seasonings
3 large sweet onions
1/2 cup (1 stick) salted butter
3 tbsp. fresh cracked pepper from pepper mill
2 (9-inch) skewers (metal or wood)
meat thermometer

Note: If using wood skewers soak overnight in water so they don't burn on the grill.

Evenly coat roast with fresh cracked pepper, then do the same with Lawhorn's Seasonings. Use the seasoning liberally, almost like a rub.

Course-cut 1 of the onions and spread evenly on a 9x13-inch roasting pan. Place roast in center of pan and and 1/2-inch of water. Set oven to 275°F.

Cook time is about 45 minutes per pound bone-in, or 35 minutes for boneless. TIME IS NOT AS IMPORTANT AS INTERNAL TEMPERATURE!!

Pull roast out at an internal temperature of 110°F; STILL BASICALLY RAW!

Cut into steaks, re-season with fresh pepper and Lawhorn's seasoning and finish on grill to order. Take drippings from pan and make Au-jus or beef gravy.

THIS IS THE BEST STEAK YOU WILL EVER COOK!!!
