REAL SWEDISH PEPPARKAKOR | |
1 c. corn oil butter (stick form - 2 sticks) 1 1/2 c. sugar 1 beaten egg 2 tbsp. corn syrup (light or dark) 2 3/4 c. flour 2 tsp. baking soda 2 tsp. shredded orange peel (optional) 1 tsp. cinnamon 1 tsp. cloves 1 tsp. ginger 1 tsp. crushed cardamom (or slightly less of finely ground cardamom) Chill. Make into small balls. Dip into sugar and press lightly with a sugared glass. Bake at 350 degrees about 10 minutes. Makes about 100 small cookies. |
