SQUASH BAKED WITH RUM 
1 butternut squash
1/2 c. hot water
3 tbsp. butter
3 tbsp. light brown sugar
2 tbsp. dark rum

Wash squash and cut in half. Remove seeds. Place cut side down in a shallow baking pan. Add hot water. Bake in 350 degree oven 45 minutes. Cool and peel.

In 9x9 inch baking dish combine cubed or sliced squash, melted butter, sugar and rum. Bake 15 minutes longer. Baste once or twice.
