BAKED SQUASH 
1 butternut or acorn squash

Halve squash, cut from stem end to blossom end. Remove seed. In each cavity, add 2 teaspoons butter. Sprinkle over entire cut side, ground allspice. Cover, microwave on high 10 minutes. If squash is not soft, cook 2 minutes. Check, repeat.

Or after preparation, cook in regular oven, approximately 30 minutes. Check for doneness.

Since microwave ovens vary in power, you may need to adjust your cooking time.
