STUFFED GREEN PEPPERS 
4 lg. green peppers, cut in half lengthwise
1 lb. ground beef or ground turkey
1 1/2 c. cooked rice
1 med. onion, chopped
1 1/2 tsp. garlic powder
1 1/2 tsp. dry basil
Salt and pepper to taste
1 can tomato sauce
8 oz. shredded cheese

Clean green peppers; add to boiling water and blanch for 5 minutes. Drain well. Brown meat; add onion. Drain grease. Add cooked rice and seasonings. (Use 1 teaspoon oregano or sage if garlic is not desired.) Mix thoroughly.

Arrange peppers, cut side up, in baking pan. Fill with meat mixture. Top with 15 oz. can tomato sauce and Cheddar or Mozzarella cheese. Bake at 350 degrees until cheese is melted and all heated through.
