HONEY DROPS 
1 c. shortening, part butter
1 c. brown sugar
2 eggs
6 tbsp. honey
1 tsp. vanilla
3 1/2 c. flour
2 tsp. baking soda
Apricot jam

Mix together shortening, sugar and eggs. Stir in honey and vanilla. Sift dry ingredients together and add to mixture. Chill until firm, several hours or overnight. Form into small balls and place on ungreased cookie sheet. Bake 10 to 12 minutes at 350 degrees or until golden brown on top. Cool, put together in pairs with apricot jam between.
