CRUNCHY ROMAINE SALAD 
DRESSING:

1 cup sugar
3/4 cup olive oil
1/2 cup red or apple cider vinegar
1 tbsp. soy sauce
salt and pepper, to taste

Combine dressing ingredients in a jar or salad dressing bottle and shake until blended. This will keep about 2 weeks or so in refrigerator.

SALAD:

1 head romaine lettuce, torn into pieces
1 bunch broccoli, coarsely chopped
4 green onions, chopped
1/4 cup (1/2 stick) unsalted butter
1 pkg. ramen noodles
1 cup chopped pecans or pine nuts

Put romaine, broccoli and onions in a big salad bowl. Melt butter in skillet and brown ramen noodles and pecans until slightly brown. Let cool. Add noodles and pecans into the salad. Toss with dressing to coat.
