EGGLESS RAISIN CAKE 
1 c. raisins
2 c. water
1/2 c. butter
1 3/4 c. flour
1 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. salt
1 c. sugar
1/2 tsp. cinnamon
1/2 tsp. nutmeg
1 c. nutmeats (optional)

In a large saucepan, boil raisins in 2 cups water for 10 minutes. Add butter and let mixture cool. Mixture must cool or cake will not be moist. Add the remaining ingredients to the cooled mixture. Bake in a greased 10 x 10 inch pan for 35 minutes at 350 degrees.
