CRANBERRY BREAD 
2 c. flour
1/2 tsp. salt
1 1/2 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. baking soda
1 c. sugar
1 beaten egg
2 tbsp. melted shortening
1/2 c. orange juice
2 tbsp. hot water
1/2 c. chopped nuts
1 c. cranberries cut in half

Mix dry ingredients. Add shortening, orange juice and hot water to beaten egg. Combine with dry ingredients. Add nuts and cranberries. Pour into greased loaf pans and bake for 1 hour 10 minutes at 325 degrees.

Remove from pans immediately and brush with butter. Wrap in foil and refrigerate for 3 hours.
