CHICKEN WITH PAPRIKA DUMPLINGS 
1 (2 1/2 - 3 1/2 lb.) broiler fryer chicken, cut up
1/3 c. unsifted flour
1/4 c. butter
5 c. chicken broth
1 tsp. instant minced onion
1/2 tsp. dried thyme leaves
1/8 tsp. pepper
1 bay leaf
2 c. Bisquick mix
2/3 c. milk
Paprika

In bag shake chicken with flour until coated. Melt butter in 5-quart pot about 375 degrees. Brown chicken on all sides. Mix broth, onions, thyme, pepper and bay leaf; pour over chicken. Bring to a boil; turn heat down to simmer. Cover; simmer 20 minutes or until chicken is almost tender. Turn heat up until liquid begins to boil.

DUMPLINGS:

Mix Bisquick and milk until soft dough forms. Drop by spoonfuls onto boiling stew. Sprinkle dumplings generously with paprika. Cook uncovered over low heat 10 minutes; cover and cook 10 minutes.
