SWISS POTATO SOUP 
3 slices bacon, cut into pieces
2 lg. leeks, thinly sliced
2 c. chopped onions
3 med. potatoes
1 lg. turnip, cubed
6 c. chicken broth
1 c. sour cream or unflavored yogurt
Salt & pepper to taste

Cook bacon crisp and remove. Add leeks and onions to fat, saute 10 minutes. Add vegetables and broth. Heat to boiling. Simmer until potatoes and turnips are tender. Place in a blender, blend well. Return to saucepan. Add sour cream to mixture. Season. Heat slowly. Can be frozen.
