BANANA SPLIT CAKE 
1 lg. box vanilla wafers
1 stick butter, melted
1 stick butter, softened
1 box confectioners sugar
2 eggs
6-7 bananas, sliced lengthwise
1 lg. can crushed pineapple, drained
1 lg. Cool Whip, thawed
Pecan pieces
Maraschino cherries

Mix wafers and melted butter; spread flat into cake pan. Mix butter, eggs and confectioners sugar on high for 5 minutes. Or, instead of using raw eggs, make this layer using the butter, confectioners sugar, a little vanilla and a little milk, a tablespoon at a time.

Cut bananas lengthwise and lay flat. Spread drained pineapple on top. Spread whipped cream and decorate with nuts and cherries. Refrigerate at least 6 hours.
