Brandi and Ember,
We know where you live. Your mom, or in your case, mommie, will soon be informed of your out of line behavior. Your sneaking stove days are numbered. Oh yeah and the recipe is delicious.

Brandi and Ember, You can also melt the stuff in a microwave safe bowl in microwave...That way you won't get in trouble for using the stove...

Thank you. I was looking all over for a recipe that didn't use Chex. I have lots of Crispix cereal but didnt have any Chex and wanted to make this for a gift. Did not have time to run and get any. Thank you so much!

Have been having some bake sales during lunch at my kids H.S. to raise money for after prom. The puppy chow is the first to go. Today we had 2 mom's make it. Looked up the recipe so I can make a couple of batches for tomorrow. It's delicious!! BTW we sold sandwich baggies of it for $.50.

I had quite a bit of Barbara's Shredded Oats that I had put on the grocery list instead of our favorite, Shredded Spoonfuls, which are more like Crispix of Life cereal. Anyway, the recipe worked fine and is delicious.

Great recipe - to save having to find a bag as well, just re-use the bag that the cereal came in to shake on the powdered sugar!

@Brandi and friend,

This recipe could also be done by using the microwave. Melt chocolate, peanut butter and butter for 30 seconds to 1 minute at a time until completely melted (about 3 to 5 minutes). It's safer, but the bowl you melt it in will get very hot, so BE CAREFUL!
