2 c. flour
1 tsp. salt
1 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. cream of tartar
3 tbsp. sugar
3 tbsp. shortening
Buttermilk

Mix dry ingredients together. Rub in shortening. Make a soft dough with buttermilk. Set burner at medium heat. Bake on griddle.
