ANGEL TEA CAKES 
2 1/2 c. plain flour
1 c. sugar
1/2 c. butter
1/2 c. Crisco
1 egg
1 tsp. salt
1 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. cream of tartar
1 tsp. vanilla

Cream butter, Crisco and sugar. Add egg. Add dry ingredients. Make into small balls and place on lightly greased cookie sheet. Criss-cross top with a fork that has been dipped in flour. Bake at 325 degrees for 10 minutes.
