SEVEN STEP SALAD 
1 head lettuce, shredded
1 med. onion, sliced thin
1 c. celery, sliced thin
1 med. green pepper, sliced in thin strips
1 pkg. frozen peas, cooked, drained & cooled
1 pt. Miracle Whip (add 2 tbsp. sugar & whip)
1/2 lb. bacon, cooked crisp & crumbled
1 pkg. shredded cheese (any kind) (I use cheddar)

Layer as stated above. Do not toss. Let stand overnight or at least 8 hours.
