GRANNY'S ONE CRUST APPLE PIE 
Pare and cut in quarters cooking apples to fill a deep unbaked pie shell, set on end. Mix 1 cup sugar, 2 heaping tablespoons flour and 2 heaping tablespoons butter. Work together and add 1/3 to 1/2 cup water. Like pancake dough. Pour over apples. Sprinkle with cinnamon. Bake in slow oven or until apples are done.
