SOUR CREAM BISCUITS
2 c. flour
1 1/2 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. salt
1/4 c. cold butter
1/2 c. milk
1/2 c. dairy sour cream

In a large bowl, stir together flour, baking powder, baking soda and salt. Using a pronged fork, cut butter into flour mixture until mixture resembles coarse crumbs. Make a well in the center of the flour mixture; set aside. In a small bowl, stir together milk and sour cream until mixture is almost smooth. Add the milk mixture to the flour mixture all at once. Stir mixture with a wooden spoon until the dough stirs together. Turn dough onto a lightly floured surface. Gently knead 8 to 10 times. Pat dough to 1/2-inch thickness. Cut dough into large diamonds or squares approximately 3-inches. Place on ungreased baking sheet, leaving about 1-inch space between biscuits.

Bake in a 400°F oven for 12 to 15 minutes or until golden brown. Serve warm.

Yield: 10 biscuits.
