UNCLE JOHN'S SOUR CREAM BISCUITS 
1 tbsp. baking powder
1/4 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. salt
2 c. all-purpose flour
1 c. dairy sour cream
1/4 c. milk
A bit of melted butter (oil or butter)

Blend all dry ingredients. Add and blend sour cream. Add the milk, stirring well to make a soft dough. Turn onto a lightly floured board and knead gently. Roll with a rolling pin or pat to a 1/2 or 3/4 inch thickness. Cut with biscuit cutter. Place on a lightly greased or oiled baking sheet. Bake in a 450 degree preheated oven for 10 minutes. Brush the tops with melted butter. Serve immediately.
