RAY'S SIMPLE BBQ RIBS | |
1-2 family size packages of "country style" pork back ribs (these ribs have much more meat than normal spare ribs) 1 extra-large bottle of your favorite BBQ sauce 1 large aluminum roasting pan Prep time: 15 minutes; Cooking time: 3-4 hours Light grill and set to lowest setting for all burners. Cover the bottom of the roasting pan with a thin layer of BBQ sauce. Arrange the ribs in the pan. Add the remaining BBQ sauce. Slowly add enough water to nearly cover the ribs. Place on grill checking every 30 minutes and adding water when necessary to keep the ribs nearly covered in sauce. After 1 1/2 hours, turn the ribs so that the side that was the "top" is now on the bottom. After 3-4 hours ribs will be tender enough to remove bones. Note: Allow sauce to cook down during final hour, but make sure it doesn't cook dry and burn. Submitted by: Ray Williams |
