2 1/3 c. white sugar
2/3 c. white Karo
1/2 c. water
1/2 tsp. salt

Cook until a hard ball stage. Meanwhile beat egg whites stiff. After candy cooks to hard boil stage, pour into egg white mixture. Add vanilla. Pour into greased pan.
