GOOEY BUTTER BARS | |
1 box yellow cake mix 1 c. butter, melted and divided 3 eggs, divided 1 (8 oz.) pkg. cream cheese, softened 1 (16 oz.) box powdered sugar 1/2 c. chopped pecans Combine cake mix, 1/2 cup butter and 1 egg. Beat well. Press into a 9 x 13 inch baking pan. Combine cream cheese, remaining 2 eggs, remaining 1/2 cup butter and powdered sugar. Blend until smooth. Spread cream cheese mixture over cake. Sprinkle with pecans. Bake at 350 degrees for 35-45 minutes. Cool. Cut into squares. Yield: One 9 x 13 inch cake. |
