DIANE MC CAULEY'S OATMEAL
COCONUT COOKIES
 
1 c. granulated sugar
1/2 c. brown sugar
1/2 c. butter
1/2 c. Crisco
1 egg
1 c. coconut
1 c. rolled oatmeal
1 1/2 c. flour
1 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. salt
1 tsp. almond extract

Cream sugars and shortenings. Add beaten eggs and coconut and then add oatmeal, sifted dry ingredients and almond extract. Drop by spoonfuls on greased cookie sheet and press flat with fork. Bake at 375 degrees for 10 minutes.
