GREEN BEANS WITH SAVORY 
3 lb. green beans
Cooked bacon, crumbled, to taste
1 med. onion, chopped
3 cloves garlic, minced or smashed
1/2 lb. butter
1 tbsp. or more summer savory
Sliced water chestnuts

Melt butter and saute onion lightly over low heat until just transparent. Add chestnuts and/or bacon. Add garlic and summer savory and remove from heat. Pour sauce over fresh cooked green beans.
