DELUXE GREEN BEAN CASSEROLE 
2 cans French style green beans, drained
1 c. diced, cooked chicken, ham or tuna
2 tbsp. pimiento, chopped
1 (5 oz.) can water chestnuts, drained & sliced
1 can cream of mushroom soup
1/2 c. milk
1 can French fried onion rings
1/2 c. American cheese, grated

Or equal amount of frozen and freshly cooked.

In a buttered 1 1/2 quart casserole arrange layers of green beans, meat, pimiento, water chestnuts and soup-milk mixture. Repeat the layers. Arrange the onion rings over top. Sprinkle cheese over onion rings. Bake at 350 degrees until thoroughly heated and cheese is browned, about 30 minutes. Serves 6.
