BAGNA CAUDA 
1/2 c. olive oil
2 sticks butter
4 cloves garlic
1 sm. can well drained anchovies
1 sm. can marinated mushrooms or 1/3 c. sliced fresh mushrooms
1/2 to 1 tsp. pepper

In a heavy crock pot or a double boiler, heat oil and butter. When melted, put in pepper, garlic, and anchovy fillets. Stir and bring to a boil. Cook until anchovies are dissolved. Add mushrooms. Keep warm over candle server and dip in raw vegetables, bread sticks, etc.
