GERMAN NUT BREAD 
2 sticks butter
2 c. sugar
4 eggs
1/2 pt. sour cream
2 c. flour
1 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. vanilla
1 tsp. almond
3/4 c. walnuts
1 (10 oz.) jar cherries (drain, squeeze & cut in half)

Cream butter and sugar well. Add eggs, one at a time and beat well until light. Add sour cream, continue beating then add flour, baking powder, vanilla and almonds; beat again. Next fold in cherries and nuts. Grease and flour Bundt pan or loaf pan well. Bake at 350 degrees for 1 hour and leave in oven about 10 minutes.
