ALMOND COOKIES | |
1/3 c. + 2 tsp. cake flour 1/4 tsp. double acting baking powder 2 tbsp. each butter (softened) & granulated sugar 1 egg 1/2 tsp. almond extract 1/4 tsp. vanilla Sift dry ingredients and set aside. In small bowl, cream together butter and sugar until combined. Add egg and extract and beat until smooth. Drop by teaspoonfuls onto nonstick baking sheets, about 4" apart. Bake at 375 degrees for 8 to 10 minutes and remove to wire racks. (Batter will spread to 3 1/2" in diameter.) 4 servings of 3 cookies each, 138 calories each serving. Weight Watchers: 1/2 bread, 1 1/2 fat, plus 50 calories per serving. |
