EASY APPLE CRISP 
10 to 11 c. sliced peeled baking apples
1/2 c. sugar
1 tsp. ground cinnamon, divided
1 c. all-purpose flour
1 packed c. brown sugar
1/2 c. quick cooking oats
1 tsp. baking powder
1/4 tsp. ground nutmeg
1/2 c. butter

Place apples in a greased 13 x 9 x 2 baking dish. Combine sugar and 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon. Sprinkle over apples. Combine flour, brown sugar, oats, baking powder, nutmeg and remaining cinnamon. Cut in butter until mixture resembles coarse crumbs. Sprinkle over apples.

Bake at 375°F for 50 to 60 minutes or until apples are tender.

Yield: 12 servings.
