CORN CHOWDER 
1 (17 oz.) can cream style corn
2 tbsp. butter
1/8 tsp. garlic powder
2 c. milk
1 tbsp. cornstarch

Mix corn, butter, and garlic powder. Blend cornstarch with milk; add to corn mixture. Simmer, stirring constantly for 5-7 minutes or until thoroughly heated and slightly thickened. Garnish with chopped green onion tops or parsley, a dash of coarse ground pepper and an extra pat of butter, if desired.
