COLD SPICED FRUIT | |
1 can (29 oz.) pears 1 can (20 oz.) pineapple chunks 1 can (16 oz.) sliced peaches 1 can (16 oz.) apricots 2 oranges, sliced thin (include skins) 1 c. sugar 1/2 c. vinegar 6 sticks cinnamon 10 whole cloves 1 (3 oz.) pkg. cherry Jello Simmer orange slices until tender. Drain. Drain canned fruits, reserving all of the pineapple juice, half of the peach and half of the apricot juice. Mix reserved juices with 1 cup sugar and 1/2 cup vinegar and cherry Jello. Add cloves and cinnamon sticks. Simmer 30 minutes. Remove spices. Pour over drained fruits. Refrigerate at least 24 hours. Excellent meat accompaniment. |
