SPICED FRUIT MEDLEY 
1 (1 lb. 13 oz.) can pears
1 (1 lb. 13 oz.) can peaches
1/2 c. cider vinegar
3/4 tsp. whole cloves
2 (3 inch) sticks cinnamon

Drain fruit. Add vinegar and spices to fruit syrup. Simmer 10 minutes. Add fruit to the spiced syrup and simmer 5 minutes more. Refrigerate covered overnight before serving. Serve chilled on relish tray or as garnish for meat tray. Fruit will keep for 2 months in refrigerator. Remove spices at end of second week.
